The new Combatants Will Be Dispatched! anime is headed to Funimation in April thanks to a co-production with KADOKAWA, and we have the first official trailer below!
The comedy isekai series is based on the popular light novel series of the same name, which is available from Yen Press. It comes to us from the author of KonoSuba: God's Blessing on this Wonderful World!, Natsume Akatsuki. The anime series is being animated by J.C. Staff (Toradora! and Food Wars!).
Combatants Will Be Dispatched! follows a perverted and scheming member of the Kisaragi Corporation, Combat Agent Six, who's introduced in the official trailer. It also follows the snarky badass android, Alice.
Bad guys supposedly have more fun, but when you're an underpaid, overworked lackey at an evil corporation, you just get stuck with the grunt work.
Combatants Will Be Dispatched! sounds like your standard anime, but there's a twist... They're not heroes, they're the villains and they're set on universal domination!
The light novel Japanese series of the same name, written by Natsume Akatsuki and illustrated by Kakao Lanthanum was first published in November of 2017 under Kadokawa Shoten's Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint in six volumes. Monthly Comic Alive, Media Factory's seinen magazine, began publishing a serialized manga adaptation in March of 2018.
