Filming on Netflix's live-action Cowboy Bebop series has wrapped according to Faye Valentine actress Daniella Pineda.

The series was first announced back in 2017 and started filming in Fall 2019 but was quickly halted after lead actor John Cho severely hurt his knee performing stunts. Camera's wouldn't begin rolling again until September 2020.

The upcoming sci-fi Netflix adaptation of Shinichirō Watanabe's fan favorite 1998 Sunrise TV anime is currently slated to drop in 2021, albeit there's currently no exact release date.

In addition to Cho as Spike and Pineda as Valentine, the series also stars Mustafa Shakir as Jet, Elena Satine as Julia, and Alex Hassell as Vicious. The series has confirmed that Ed will also appear but showrunners are keeping the casting under wraps.

Based on the worldwide phenomenon from Sunrise Inc., Cowboy Bebop is the jazz-inspired, genre-bending story of Spike Spiegel, Jet Black, Faye Valentine and Radical Ed: a rag-tag crew of bounty hunters on the run from their pasts as they hunt down the solar system's most dangerous criminals. They'll even save the world…for the right price.
