Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction is set to debut on Crunchyroll after a successful run as a two-part film in Japan, with Part 1 released on March 22nd and Part 2 hitting theaters later this week on May 24. It's been announced that the anime adaptation will continue in an all-new 18-episode television series

The highly anticipated adaptation will bring fresh, never-before-seen footage and offer an expanded narrative that dives deeper into the world created by Inio Asano. The new series based upon Asano's acclaimed manga is set to debut on Crunchyroll tomorrow, May 23rd. This dystopian sci-fi story of youth and existential crises promises to captivate audiences worldwide with its unique blend of drama, humor, and social commentary.

Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction follows the lives of best friends Kadode Koyama and Oran "Ontan" Nakagawa as they navigate the challenges of high school life under the shadow of a mysterious alien invasion. As they grow up, they confront the complexities of adulthood, uncovering that the real threats may lie closer to home than the extraterrestrial mothership hovering above.

The anime is produced by Production +h., the studio behind The Orbital Children, and is directed by Tomoyuki Kurokawa, known for his work on PSYCHO-PASS. The screenplay is crafted by Reiko Yoshida, whose anime portfolio includes Violet EvergardenLiz and the Blue Bird, and A Silent Voice.

The series features an exceptional voice cast, with Lilas Ikuta (Hiro-chan in BELLE) as Kadode Koyama and ano (Memocho in Oshi no Ko) as Oran Nakagawa. Both are renowned musical talents, with Ikuta being the vocalist for YOASOBI and ano known for her hit single Chu, Tayousei.

  • TARAKO (Momoko "Maruko" Sakura in Chibi Maruko-chan) as Debeko
  • Tomokazu Sugita (Gintoki Sakata in Gintama) as Isobeyan

The adaptation's musical landscape is enriched by the theme song ZeZeZeZettai Seiiki, performed by ano featuring Lilas Ikuta. Initially part of the movie, this track will continue to thrill audiences in the TV series.
