Funimation has announced that Mieruko-chan is now streaming via their app and streaming service! They have released a new poster to celebrate, make sure and check it out below.
Miko Yotsuya is just a normal high school student who is suddenly gains the ability to see gruesome ghosts and evil spirits who happen to haunt her and the people close to her. She goes about trying to live an ordinary teenage life, ignoring the supernatural stalking creatures that seem to be all around her. Adjusting to this newly acquired sense, Miko finds it quite difficult to pretend they are not there which leads her to some very scary and comical situations all while trying to keep her friends safe.
Funimaion has also announced Yuichi Nakamura (Jujutsu Kaisen), Ikuko Tani (Kemono Jihen) and Yumiri Hanamori (Kageki Shojo!!) have joined the voice cast.
The anime is from KADOKAWA and studio Passione (Higuarashi: When They Cry - GOU, Citrus) and is directed by Yuki Ogawa (FLCL Progressive).
The Mieruko-chan anime series is based upon the manga of the same name which was written and illustrated by Tomoki Izumi. The manga originally appeared online in Kadokawa's ComicWalker in November of 2018. It began being published in print in April of 2019 and has so far been released into five tankōbon volumes as of earlier this year.
