Three additional cast members were also announced, as follows (character romanizations unconfirmed):
- Dakini voiced by Rie Takahashi (Megumin in KONOSUBA -God's blessing on this wonderful world!)
- Rish voiced by Mikako Komatsu (Rebecca in EDENS ZERO)
- Gaia voiced by Ami Koshimizu (Mizuki in Lycoris Recoil)
Yuki Inaba (Parasyte -the maxim- episode director) is directing the series at Studio Palette based on the manga that was created by Aoi Akashiro and Hangetsuban Sonsho. Akashiro is responsible for the series composition, and Kaori Yoshikawa (The World's Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat chief animation director) is responsible for adapting the character designs for animation.
Crunchyroll announced earlier this month that it will stream the series, describing it as such:
As heir to a cult leader, Yukito centers his life around the mysterious goddess Mitama. But everything changes after he’s killed during a ritual gone wrong. To his surprise, Yukito is reborn into a world with no concept of god! And in this world, life and death are decided by the Imperial State. As Yukito fights to protect his new village, someone from his past life lends a helping hand.
