The second trailer for the television anime adaptation of Gido Amagakure's A Galaxy Next Door (Otonari ni Ginga) manga went live and was announced Friday! The anime's April 8 release date is also announced in the video, along with "Tonari Awase," Chinatsu Matsumoto's opening theme music.

Ever since their father died, Ichirou Kuga has struggled to support his two younger siblings on nothing but a small inheritance and his passion for drawing manga. A Galaxy Next Door, tells the story of what happens when Kuga's new mysterious assistant, Shiori Goshiki, declares them to be engaged to be married.
The series' official website also revealed new key visuals and cast members! The new cast members include:
- Rie Takahashi as Chihiro Ibusuki
- Tomokazu Sugita as Masahiro Morikuni
- Yōko Hikasa as Momoka Morikuni
The anime stars include:
- Taku Yashiro as Ichirō Kuga
- Yū Wakui as Shiori Goshiki
- Rina Endō as Machi Kuga
- Maria Naganawa as Fumio Kuga
The anime is being directed by Ryuichi Kimura (Aikatsu! Kemono Friends 2) at Asahi Production, and the scripts for the series are being handled by Gigaemon Ichikawa (Chikasugi Idol Akae-chan, The Fruit of Evolution: Before I Knew It, My Life Had It Made, and Kedama no Gonjiro). Character creation is being done by Yasuka Taki.
The manga was introduced by Amagakure (Sweetness & Lightning) in Kodansha's Good! Afternoon magazine in April 2020. The manga is being published in English by Kodansha USA Publishing. A live-action television series that will debut on April 3 is also being inspired by the manga.
