A Returner's Magic Should Be Special Season 2 has a night and a song. A new promotional video and key visual set the debut for October 7 on Fuji TV's +Ultra block at 24:45, which is 12:45 a.m. Thursday. Kansai TV follows October 8. Tokai TV and AT-X follow October 10.
The new tape previews FLOW's opening, "Sorrow." The band also did Season 1's "GET BACK." Ending is krage's "Everlasting," already shown in an August clip. Crunchyroll has the international stream. That matches the Fall 2026 grid the service posted the same week, with English and several other dubs listed for later.
Arvo Animation is working once again on the show. Taishi Kawaguchi directs again. Takamitsu Kono is back on series composition and scripts. Hiromi Kato designed the characters. Kenta Higashiohji wrote the music. Art director is Daisuke Negishi. Sound director is Takatoshi Hamano.
The core voice actors return. Takuma Terashima is Desir Herman. Sayumi Suzushiro is Romantica Eru. Natsumi Fujiwara is Pram Schnaizer. Asami Seto is Azest Kingscrown. Show Hayami is Jord Exarion. Ayako Kawasumi is Priscilla Heisilkeite. New in this drop: Tarusuke Shingaki as the Bird Mask.
The source material is from Wookjakga's Korean webtoon, Kikansha no Maho wa Tokubetsu Desu in Japanese. Yen Press has the English books. The synopsis for it goes like: Desir fails to stop the Shadow World, wakes thirteen years earlier, and tries to rebuild the party before the catastrophe repeats. Season 1 ran October 2023 with a Crunchyroll dub in several regions.
Japanese streams start October 7 at 25:15 on d Anime Store and its Nico Nico, Prime Video, and LINE Manga branches, plus Anime Hodai. Other Japanese services follow October 11. Muse Asia also listed Season 2 for October.
October 7 is a crowded Fall night for anime fans. Magic Knight Rayearth, Sasaki and Peeps Season 2, The World's Strongest Witch, and The Detective Is Already Dead Season 2 share that Crunchyroll date cluster. Returner's Magic is the regression-academy show in that pile. FLOW on two different Fall openings this season is also notable and pretty cool. They are a great band after all.
