A Tale of the Secret Saint has a main trailer, a release date, and another knight on the call sheet. The TV anime premieres October 3 at 10:00 p.m. on Tokyo MX and BS11, and 10:30 p.m. on Sun TV, opening with two episodes. Kikunosuke Toya, Denji in Chainsaw Man, voices Curtis Bannister, captain of the Thirteenth Knight Brigade. The trailer is built around Fia Ruud chasing knighthood while keeping the saint part quiet.
Felix Film is producing. Tomoe Makino directs (Aharen-san wa Hakarenai, Woodpecker Detective’s Office). Naoki Murata is assistant director. Deko Akao writes series composition (WITCH WATCH). Satomi Kurita designs the characters (Dahlia in Bloom). Kenichiro Suehiro scores (Fire Force). Ryosuke Naya is sound director. Opening theme is "Flare of Soul" by Kaya. The show was dated for April 2026, then pushed to October so the team could "aim to provide a more enjoyable work for everyone." That is the official reason for the delay. Monday’s video is the first time the fall slot has a clock and a double-episode start attached.
Shion Wakayama leads as Fia. Shinnosuke Tokudome is Zavilia. Yuichiro Umehara is Saviz Nav. Nobunaga Shimazaki is Cyril Sutherland. Tasuku Hatanaka is Desmond Ronan. Daiki Hamano is Zachary Townsend. Tomokazu Sugita is Quentin Agutter (romanizations vary across outlets). Later adds include Yukari Tamura as Clarissa Abanecy, Shunichi Toki as Enoch, Daiki Yamashita as Fabian Winer, and Miyuri Shimabukuro as Charlotte. Toya is the new name on this trailer.
Touya writes the light novels. chibi illustrates. Earth Star Entertainment publishes. The web novel started in 2019. Volume 13 of the print run is dated September 16, 2026. Mahito Aobe draws the manga in Comic Earth Star. Seven Seas has the English novels, the manga, and the Secret Saint Zero prequel. Seven Seas’ blurb is the clean version of the hook: Fia is born into a knight family, wants the same job as her siblings, and is also a reincarnated great saint who would rather nobody find out. The powers are useful. Hiding them is the joke and the plot.
No North American streamer was named, but we can guess that Crunchyroll will have the show ready for streaming, otherwise we have to hold out and wait. Muse Communication has Southeast Asia. Until a simulcast post lands, October 3 is a Japan TV date.
The trailer exists to show Fia’s quest and to introduce Bannister before the double header. If you read the books, you already know how long she can keep the secret. If you are coming in cold, October 3 is two episodes in one night and has a captain voiced by Denji.
