Live Action Akira A Go!?

Warner Bros. is taking some seriuos steps to get a Live Action verson of Akira into production.

Warner Bros. has signed on Irish Oscar nominated director Ruairi Robinson to direct a live action Akira. (Robinson directed a short film The Silent City) Akira has long been in development with last announcements adapting the script back in 2003.

It's expected that things will continue forward to get project set up pre-strike. More news is expected soon.
