The New Chitose Airport Animation Festival commissioned Haruko Ichikawa of Land of the Lustrous to create the event's main visual for 2023 as part of its celebration of its tenth anniversary and return to an in-person format! This image will join a decade's worth of visually arresting artwork from artists like Cencoroll director Atsuya Uki and Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! creator Sumito Owara.

The New Chitose Airport International Animation Festival is now taking submissions for the Social Media Animation Award, Student Film, Feature Film, and Short Film categories. From November 2 to 6, those chosen will be screened in the Hokkaido terminal building, where talks by Japanese and international artists will also be held.
