Something for Fairy Tail anime fans to get excited about as it was announced during the Hiro Mashima Fan Meeting livestream last week that an anime adaptation is in the works for Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest! The initial announcement was followed with a commemorative illustration by popular manga artist Agsuo Ueda (included below).
The anime adaptation will be written and storyboarded by Hiro Mashima, the original writer and storyboarder of the original manga of the same name. The story will follow the events at the end of the original Fairy Tail manga, which saw Natsu and his friends embark on a job that no one has dared accept since the founding of the wizard guild - the "100 Years Quest."
The Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest manga series was written and sotryboarded by Hiro Mashima. It was illustrated by Agsuo Ueda. it is a sequel to Mashima's popular Fairy Tail manga series which focused on Natsu Dragneel and his crew from the wizard guild. The manga picks up one year after the original manga series as Natsu and team take upon themselves a mission that has been left unfinished for over a century.
The manga originally launced in Kodansha's Magazine Pocket manga app in July of 2018. It has been realeased in nine tankōbon volumes as of July 2021.
