Shueisha Games used Juju Fes 2026 to put a real poster on Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton. MAPPA drew new key art for the survivors-royale, and the stage confirmed two boss names people have been waiting to see in a game like this: Kenjaku and Naoya Zenin.
The event marked five years of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime. The game is the poncle project, the studio behind Vampire Survivors, published by Shueisha Games. You play pixel versions of Yuji Itadori and the rest of the roster, fight cursed spirits, stack power, and try to be the last one standing against up to seven other players. Solo mode exists if you do not want a lobby. Check out the new art by MAPPA below:
More than 20 characters are scheduled. Ten were already public. Kenjaku and Naoya are the new ones, and they are bosses, not just extra skins on the select screen. That split matters. A playable Yuji run and a Kenjaku encounter are different jobs in a Vampire Survivors-style arena.
The studio that made the TV anime drew fresh illustrations for the game instead of handing Shueisha a still from season two. For a pixel royale, that is marketing muscle more than a gameplay change. It is also the image that will sit on store pages whenever the 2026 date firms up.
Tokyo Game Show 2026 is the first time the public can touch a build. Shueisha Games will run the world’s first public playtest at its booth. Dates are Thursday, September 17 through Monday, September 21 at Makuhari Messe, with TKP Tokyo Bay Makuhari Hall also listed. Business days are September 17 and 18, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Public days are September 19 and 20, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Monday September 21, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. People who meet the booth rules get an original giveaway that has not been named yet.
Platforms that it will be playable on are Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. Release is scheduled for 2026. Price and rating are TBD. Languages already include Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Korean, French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese. Online play caps at eight. That is a small lobby next to Fortnite-scale royales and a normal size for a survivors game that wants readable pixel fights.
Poncle’s fingerprint is the auto-battler loop: pick a sorcerer, survive waves, grab upgrades, hope the build does not collapse when a boss walks in. Jujutsu Kaisen is a good fit for that if cursed techniques read as weapons and domain-scale threats read as arena closers. Kenjaku as a boss is the obvious late-run spike. Naoya as a boss is the speed and clan-arrogance problem in the same slot. Neither confirmation says whether they are also unlockable later.
Juju Fes was the anniversary stage. TGS is the hands-on experience for fans. Between those two dates the game still has no day, no price, and no full 20-name list. What it has though is MAPPA art, two of the manga’s worst men as bosses, and a booth in Chiba in mid-September.
If you will be at Tokyo Game Show, the Shueisha Games booth is the only place to play it before the 2026 launch window at the moment. If you will not, the key art and the boss names are the update you will get until a store page exists and they release more details.
