Jujutsu Kaisen 0, prequel film to the popular supernatural and dark fantasy anime series Jujutsu Kaisen, is now playing in North American theaters, including select U.S. IMAX theaters!

The wait is finally over for Jujutsu Kaisen fans! After wetting fan's appetites last week with a new Jujutsu Kaisen 0 trailer, and revealing the English voice cast, the highly-anticipated prequel film has finally landed in North American theaters!

The film is available in both English dub and subtitled versions in more than 1,500 theaters in North America. It will also be released in select U.S. based IMAX theaters for those fans that want to see it on the biggest screen possible!

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 became the top movie in Japanese theaters for 2021. It took the film forty-five days and 7,603,732 attendees for ti to earn over 10.46 billion yen ($90.7 million US), suprassing Evangelion 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon a Time's 10.23 billion.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 follows Yuta Okkotsu, a nervous high school student, who enrolls in the mysterious Tokyo Jujutsu High School under the guidance of Satoru Gojo after being haunted by the curse of his childhood friend. The film is based on the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 manga, a prequel to the popular supernatural adventure series from Gege Akutami.

The film is directed by Sunghoo Park and animated by MAPPA. The film is being distributed in the U.S., Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand by Crunchyroll in association with Funimation. Crunchyroll and Wakanim are distributing it to additional Eoropean countries.

The Jujutsu Kaisen anime series is based upon the best-selling manga of the same name. It was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump and has sold more than 60 million copies in Japan. VIZ Media publishes the series in the United States. Jujutsu Kaisen was named "Anime of the Year" by the Crunchyroll Anime Awards in 2021.

The series is available on both Crunchyroll and Funimation's streaming platforms, in both subbed and dubbed.
