Taketo Tanaka made the announcement on Friday that he will play the role of Chome in Tokyo Revengers 2, the second of two live-action sequel films based on Ken Wakui's Tokyo Revengers manga. The announcement was made on Instagram. Chome is a Valhalla captain and a member of the team.
Chi no Halloween -Unmei- (Bloody Halloween -Fate-) is the title of the first sequel film, and it will be released on April 21. The second sequel film, Chi no Halloween -Kessen- (Bloody Halloween -Decisive Battle-), will be released on June 30.
In both of the upcoming sequel films, Takumi Kitamura will return to his role as Takemichi Hanagaki. Ryo Yoshizawa, who plays Mikey, and Yuki Yamada, who plays Draken, are two of the other returning cast members. Kento Nagayama joins the cast as Keisuke Baji, while Nijirō Murakami also joins as Kazutora Hanemiya, and Mahiro Takasugi joins as Chifuyu Matsuno.
The film will also feature the return of director Tsutomu Hanabusa and producer Shota Okada. SUPER BEAVER is responsible for the performance of both the "Gradation" theme song for the first film and the "Hakanakunai" (Not Merely Fleeting) theme song for the second film. Both of these songs were written and performed by SUPER BEAVER.
The first movie was released in Japan in July 2021, and it was the most successful live-action movie that year in Japan.

Takemichi Hanagaki, a freeter in his twenties, gets the news one day that his middle school ex-girlfriend Hinata Tachibana and her younger brother Naoto have been murdered by the Tokyo Manji Gang. Hinata was Takemichi's ex-girlfriend when they were both members of the gang.
Takemichi is able to time travel exactly twelve years into the past, to the year 2005, when he is pushed in front of a train. Takemichi has a meeting with Naoto when he is reliving his middle school years, and he tells Naoto the exact date that he and Hinata will die. The moment they shake hands, Takemichi is instantly brought back to the present, so causing a time paradox in which Naoto is able to live and is now working as a detective.
Naoto has come to the conclusion that whenever the two of them clasp hands, Takemichi is sent back in time by 12 years. Takemichi vowed to save Hinata by utilizing the information he has gained from the future.
