We have some exciting new about the upcoming live-action film, Lupin the Third! The full trailer for the upcoming original live-action feature starring Daisuke Jigen, Lupin's companion in the Lupin the Third franchise, was released on Amazon Prime Video's official Japanese YouTube channel. Tetsuji Tamayama, who now plays the role of Jigen in the anime, is seen in the clip, along with Akio Otsuka, who provides Jigen's voice in the anime.
While Tetsuji Tamayama is set as part of the cast, and who will be reprising his role as Daisuke Jigen from the live-action feature that was released in 2014, five additional cast members have also been confirmed! EIGA's official website describes the new character additions below:
Yoko Maki will be playing the role of Adel, a former assassin and the boss of Mud Fish Town, who is Jigen's enemy. While she is a stunning beauty whose nationality and age are unknown, she is also a mysterious character with a cruel and sad past that caused her to lose one of her legs and her voice. Kotoka Maki will play the role of Oto, a girl who is targeted by Adele's organization and is unable to speak due to her sad past. Nagase will play Takeshi Kawashima, Adele's right-hand man who is famous as a killer who utilizes mimicry. , Sato will play the role of Ruri, Kawashima's girlfriend, and Kusabue will play the role of Chiharu Yaguchi, who is ostensibly a run-down watch shop, but who is said to be the world's best gunsmith in the underworld.

Beginning on October 13, Amazon Japan will make the film available to stream on Amazon Prime across the globe. Amazon Studios and TMS Entertainment, the animation production studio that has been responsible for producing the Lupin the Third anime franchise continuously since 1971, are working together on the film as a collaborative project.
So far, the premise of the film follows a storyline of Jigen feeling that his beloved Combat Magnum (S&W M19) is not working well and visits Japan for the first time in several years in search of the "world's best gunsmith", who just so happens to run a watch shop.
