Reborn as a Space Mercenary: I Woke Up Piloting the Strongest Starship! now has a main promo video, a new key visual, and two more names. The official site posted all three on Tuesday. The video runs FLOW's opening, "Unstoppable." Kana Ueda voices Shoko. Saori Onishi voices Mei. They join Makoto Furukawa as Hiro, Konomi Inagaki as Mimi, Anna Nagase as Elma, and Haruka Shiraishi as Serena.
The show starts October 4 on Tokyo MX at 9:30 p.m. JST. Other Japanese nets in the earlier rollout notes include BS11, AT-X, Wowow, ytv, and Chukyo TV. Crunchyroll streams it. That matches the Fall 2026 slate Crunchyroll locked the same week. Check out the new promo video below:
Norihiko Nagahama directs at Studio A-Cat. Takamitsu Kono writes series scripts. Masami Sueoka designed the characters. Jin Aketagawa is sound director. Kenta Higashiohji wrote the score. Metal band ASTERISM has the ending, "My Way."
The source material is still being written and going strong. Ryuto posted the web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro in February 2019. Kadokawa has been printing it with Tetsuhiro Nabeshima art since July 2019. Volume 17 hit May 9. Seven Seas is on volume 15 of the novels in English and has the Shinichi Matsui manga as well. Kadokawa's manga line is at volume 11.
The story for the anime goes like this: Satou Takahiro wakes up inside his favorite space game as Hiro, with a loaded ship and mercenary work as the job. Pirates, colonies, and a crew that the English copy still describes as a babe on each arm. Mimi is tagged as the love interest. Elma is the partner. Serena is the noble officer. Shoko and Mei are the new faces the PV is selling.
A-Cat also did The Beginning After the End and Nagahama's farm-skill and demon-lord-mage shows. That is the isekai factory lane, pointed at starship interiors instead of a starter village. FLOW on the opening is the most notable new credit.
October 4 is three weeks out. The March teaser had the core four and the studio. Tuesday added the song, the two extras, and a visual meant to sit on streaming rows. If you have been reading Seven Seas, the anime is the same as the manga and shouldn't diverge too far from it.
Crunchyroll has not posted a dub date in this drop. The Fall schedule listed English and several other languages for later. Sub first on the 4th.
