The wait is over for fans of the anime adaptation of Solo Leveling! Fans of the comic will be able to catch the first episode tomorrow on Crunchyroll. It's set to begin streaming tomorrow, Saturday, January 6th at 9:30 a.m. PT.
Directed by Shunsuke Nakashige at A-1 Pictures, the anime is based on the digital comic series published on Tappytoon of the same name by DUBU (REDICE Studio), Chugong and h-goon. The screenplay will be handled by Noboru Kimura, with anime character designs by Tomoko Sudo and monster designs by Hirotaka Tokuda.
The opening theme "LEveL" will be performed by Hiroyuki Sawano and TOMORROW X TOGETHER, while Krage will perform the ending theme, "Request." You can get a sneak peek at them from the video below!
The Solo Leveling anime will feature a Japanese cast that includes Taito Ban as Sung Jinwoo, Genta Nakamura as Yoo Jinho, Haruna Mikawa as Sung Jinah, Reina Ueda as Cha Hae-In, Daisuke Hirakawa as Choi Jong-In, Hiroki Touchi as Baek Yoonho, Banjo Ginga as Go Gunhee, and Makoto Furukawa as Woo Jinchul.
Yen Press has published the popular comic series in English. The eighth volume is set to be reelased on January 23rd, 2024.

The series began as a web novel written by a South Korean author under the pseudonym Chu-Gong. It was first serialized on November 4, 2016, and concluded with 14 volumes and 270 chapters.
The webtoon/manga adaptation of Solo Leveling was illustrated by Gi So-Ryeong and Jang Sung-Rak. This adaptation gained immense popularity due to its striking artwork and engaging storytelling.
The original web novel started as an unpublished novel on February 14, 2014, and was later published in 2015. The serialized version of the novel encompassed 270 chapters.
The webtoon serialization began on KakaoPage on April 13, 2018. It was officially published in book format by D&C Media starting September 26, 2019, and concluded with a total of 179 chapters on December 29, 2021.
After the conclusion of the original webtoon series, side stories began serialization on January 20, 2023. These were drawn by Disciples following the death of Jang Sung-rak, the original artist.
