A new character trailer for Suicide Squad Isekai has been released, this time putting the spotlight on Peacemaker.
"A hulking macho man and violent vigilante determined to achieve peace at all costs," Warner Bros. Japan writes of the character. "He possesses a twisted sense of justice and considers himself a superhero."
Peacemaker will be voiced by Takehito Koyasu in the upcoming anime. He joins Yuuichirou Umehara as the Joker, Reigo Yamaguchi as Deadshot, and Anna Nagase as Harley Quinn. While many of these characters feel closely similar to their comic book counterparts, it will be interesting to see how they behave when transported to an otherworldly fantasy realm filled with swords, magic, orcs, dragons, and more.
Produced by Wit Studio, Suicide Squad Isekai follows a group of notorious criminals -- Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Peacemaker, Clayface, and King Shark -- who have been assembled by Amanda Waller for a secret and dangerous mission. When the DC Super-Villains are sent to a world of swords and magic, orcs and drags, they find themselves captured by the Kingdom's soldiers and sent to prison. WIth just 72 hours before the bomb on their neck explodes, they negotiate with Queen Aldora for their release under the condition that they can defeat the hostile Imperial army.

Suicide Squad Isekai is an anime television series based on the Suicide Squad team from the comics by DC Comics. It's directed by Eri Osada, with the series composition and the screenplay by Tappei Nagatsuki and Eiji Umehara.
The anime series will premiere this July in Japan on Tokyo MX and BS11. An English dub is expected, but not until after the anime wraps airing. No date has been announced yet, nor has the English voice cast.
Suicide Squad Isekai isn't the only DC Comics-inspired anime on the way. Earlier this week, Warner Bros. Japan announced Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League, a sequel to the 2018 anime film Batman Ninja. More details will be revealed at Anime Expo on July 4th, but check out the official announcement here.
