FUNimation released a few videos as a special features sneak peak to the upcoming release of The Vision of Escaflowne. Blu-Ray and DVD on October 18th, 2016 and it features a full length interview with the creators of the anime.
Escaflown of the Heavens was first released in Japan as a 23 episode series in 1996 and later made into a few manga series. There was a movie that was released in 2000, but it didn't really have any resemblance to the original series.
