Ahead of its premiere next month, No Longer Allowed in Another World has received a new trailer, while also announcing several new cast members and sharing a new collaboration visual with Bungo Stray Dogs.
Produced by Atelier Pontdarc, No Longer Allowed in Another World is a television anime series adaptation of the Japanese manga series written by Hiroshi Noda and illustrated by Takahiro Wakamatsu. Serialized on Shogakukan's Yawaraka Spirits website since 2019, the dark comedy isekai fantasy manga follows melancholic author Osamu Dazai who simply wants to find the perfect place to die so that he can meet his maker. Pulled into an otherworldly adventure with cute sidekicks and superpowers, Osamu Dazai's poetic demise is always somehow thwarted by inconvenient heroics.
No Longer Allowed in Another World is directed by Shigeki Kawai at animation studio Atelier Pontdarc with Yasuhiro Nakanishi providing series composition, Tomoshige Inayoshi and Asako Inayoshi providing the character designs, and Kenichiro Suehiro providing the music.
The series will begin its broadcast in Japan on July 9, 2024, and will also be streamed on Crunchyroll as part of the summer 2024 anime simulcast lineup.

No Longer Allowed in Another World is serialized in Shogakukan's Yawaraka Spirits website. The manga is licensed in North America by Seven Seas Entertainment which describes it:
A second life in another world with cute girls by your side and video gamey powers–sounds like a dream, right? Not so for a certain melancholy author, who would quite literally rather drop dead. Honestly, all the fantastical adventure is just getting in the way of his poetic dream of finding the perfect place to die. But no matter how much he risks his hide, everything seems to keep turning out okay. Will our terminally depressed hero find a new lease on life in this cheerfully bleak isekai comedy?
No Longer Allowed in Another World will stream on July 9th on Crunchyroll. The streamer's full summer 2024 lineup can be viewed here.
