The Charlie Kirk isekai that ate a day of timelines has already been banished to the shadow realm. The WebNovel book page for bidneofc's I Died During a College Debate and Awoke as the Heavenly Debater now loads as a 404. The reviews URL still answers. The author's profile still lists the title, three chapters, and a 4.88 rating.
This morning the manga was popping off at 440,000-plus views. Jeffrey J. Hall had posted about it a day earlier, when the counter was past 200,000, and that post cleared a million views. Click the same book ID now and WebNovel serves a dead page, no takedown note, no "this work was removed" banner.
A second book is still up. BelowTheShelf published a near-clone under the same title with one extra "The" and a renamed lead, Charlie Kellan. That page has four chapters, a 3.78 rating on a small pool, and an author note that says the story is inspired by Kirk, not meant to be Kirk, that the first three chapters were AI on an old blueprint, and that a Patreon dump is the backup if the site bans it. A comment on that listing already says the original got deleted and this is not Charlie Kirk.
Chinese-language posts yesterday described the same sequence: first upload used the real name and the real death, attention hit, page came back with the Kellan swap. The 404 on bidneofc's book ID matches that. WebNovel has not posted a public statement. The profile card looking alive while the book 404s is how a soft pull often looks on that site. Cached reviews still talk about Kirk by name, the Dao of Ragebait, and chapter four that never arrived.
Charlie Kirk was tragically shot and killed in September 2025 while speaking at Utah Valley University. The novel drops him into a cultivation empire with a System built on arguing. Chapter titles that traveled with the screenshots were "We Are Charlie Kirk" and "The Dao of Ragebait." bidneofc joined WebNovel on September 11. Three days of writing, then a view count that looked like a finished series.
View counts on WebNovel are not a print run. Hundreds of thousands of clicks on three chapters means the thumbnail and the name did the work. A high average on a few dozen ratings is a small sample. Replies under the viral posts already called it AI slop. The surviving author's own note agrees the opening chapters were AI.
The Kellan version is the one you can open. Charlie Kellan dies on a university stage, hits a morgue slab, and wakes on the Cangyun Continent with no bloodline and no sword, only debate. Conviction becomes damage. The Verbal Arts are the invented path. Great Liang and Bloodmoon Ridge sit in the scenery. It is stock isekai with the serial numbers filed down after the first listing burned.
If WebNovel yanked the Kirk-named book for using a murdered public figure as the isekai body, they have not said so. If bidneofc pulled it themselves, they have not said that either. What we do know is the page is gone and there is plenty of copy cats coming out of the wood works from it.
