That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime an ongoing TV anime series based on an isekai fantasy light novel. The show's newest season will air in Japan on April 5, 2024, and will have two consecutive seasons.
Additionally, episode 48.5, titled "Digression: Diablo's Journal," is scheduled to premiere on March 30 in Japan.

The original That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime light novels series were written by Fuse, illustrated by Mitz Vah, and published in Japan by Micro Magazine under their GC Novels imprint. The English version of the series is also available from Yen Press.
The TV anime is directed by Atsushi Nakayama at animation studio Eight Bit. Toshizo Nemoto composed the series, Ryoma Ebata designed the characters, and Hitoshi Fujima of Elements Garden composed the music.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is a well-known and popular Japanese light novel series. The author of this series is Fuse and it is illustrated by Mitz Vah.
The series was first serialized online in 2013 on the user-generated novel publishing website called Shōsetsuka ni Narō. Later, it was acquired by Micro Magazine, who published the first volume of the light novel in 2014. Since then, the series has been adapted into manga and anime television series.
The story revolves around the life of Satoru Mikami, a 37-year-old corporate worker residing in Tokyo. His life is quite mundane and he has never been in a relationship. One day, he is fatally stabbed during a random street attack. As he succumbs to his injuries, Satoru hears a mysterious voice reciting a series of commands which he cannot understand. When he regains consciousness, he discovers that he has been reincarnated as a slime in an unfamiliar world.
As a slime, Satoru obtains unique abilities, including the power to devour anything and mimic its appearance and skills. During his journey, he meets Veldora, a 'Storm Dragon' who was sealed for 300 years for causing destruction in a town. Satoru befriends Veldora and promises to help break the seal in exchange for Veldora's protection. To signify their friendship, Satoru adopts the name "Rimuru Tempest".
Rimuru's adventure in the new world is full of excitement as he meets various characters, including other monsters and humans. He becomes a leader among the monsters with the aim of creating a society where all beings can live in peace and harmony. Throughout the series, Rimuru faces many challenges, including battles against other powerful creatures and dealing with the politics of different nations.
