Matsuri Isora has a new book on the calendar for readers to enjoy. The Silent Witch author announced Bōkyaku no Curse Knight (Curse Knight of Oblivion), with volume 1 shipping November 13 under the Earth Star Novel label. Shirotaka, the artist behind Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, is on illustrations. The official account dropped the cover the same week.
e-hon teases "a hidden power that is the most powerful curse" and calls the book a "refreshing knight fantasy about a tenacious boy striving despite the odds to become a hero." The web novel, which started on Shōsetsuka ni Narō on March 6, puts a name on that boy. Theo is 14. He wants to become the knight he pictures in his head while carrying a curse that makes people forget he exists.
Isora has said the story sits in a completely different world from Silent Witch. Same author, new map. The cover look is going to get compared to Shirotaka's Rudeus work anyway. That is the point of hiring that artist for a boy-knight book.
This is not a Kadokawa Books release. Silent Witch lives at Fujimi Shobo / Kadokawa Books with art by Nanna Fujimi. Curse Knight is an Earth Star Entertainment print of a Narō serial that has only been public since March. Eight months from first chapter to a hardcover date is a fast pickup.
Isora told readers the new series was not meant to stall Silent Witch or the ongoing White-Winged Harpy web novel. The mainline books are still moving. Kadokawa put out the 12th Silent Witch volume on June 10. Yen Press publishes the English novels as Secrets of the Silent Witch, and volume 8 is already in that pipeline.
Silent Witch started on Narō in February 2020 and finished its main web run that October. Kadokawa began the light novels in June 2021. The synopsis for it is: Monica Everett is the Silent Witch, the only person who can cast Voiceless Magic, and the mage who stopped the Black Dragon of legend. She learned the trick so she would not have to speak in public. The Seven Sages still send her undercover to guard the Second Prince.
A two-volume prequel, Silent Witch -another- Kekkai no Majutsushi no Nariagari (Rise of the Barrier Mage), shipped in December 2023 and April 2024. Tobi Tana has drawn the main manga in B's-LOG COMIC since July 2021. Volume 7 arrived September 1. Azu Azuko launched a prequel manga on ComicWalker in January 2025, with a first collected volume in September 2025. Yen Press has the main manga too.
The TV anime ran July to October 2025 on Tokyo MX, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, and BS11. Studio Gokumi produced it. Crunchyroll streamed the season as it aired. This Light Novel is Amazing! put the books at No. 1 in the book/novel category for 2026 after earlier top-five finishes. That is the heat Isora is walking into a second imprint with.
Curse Knight flips the social problem. Monica hides because she cannot stand being seen. Theo is unseen because the curse wipes him out of other people's heads. One series is academy intrigue and a silent prodigy. The new one is a knight climb with the cruelest possible party-wipe condition: your allies forget you between fights.
No English publisher has claimed Curse Knight yet. No anime announcement came with the cover. Volume 1 is November 13 in Japan. The official X account is already posting as a series page, which usually means Earth Star is planning more than just a one-shot.
