Avatar Studios is the production company helmed by, Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino, the creators of Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. This studio was announced in February 2021 by Paramount+ and will develop new series, short-form content, spin-offs, and theatrical films.

Konietzko and DiMartino have confirmed that their future projects will be set in the same fictional universe as the aforementioned aniamted shows. Speaking of their future projects, thanks to AvatarNews.co, an Avatar: The Last Airbender fan-site, we now know that Avatar Studios is developing a new animation style for their future projects.

The fan-site discovered a job listing for Avatar Studios, that you can check out for yourself here, which specifies that the applicant will be tasked with developing and maintaining "an outstanding and customized look for the show that will require the integration of traditional 2D and CG elements."

This is quite unlike previous Avatar content — which has basically all been entirely traditionally two-dimensional up to now. Based on that brief description, it sounds akin to the animation style of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse which itself was lauded as unique. Netflix's League of Legends anime series, Arcane, has a similar style.
