It was also one of the first anime that Netflix had acquired exclusive global streaming rights for.

Knights of Sidonia: Love Woven in the Stars will land in US and Canadian theaters Monday, September 13th, 2021. The film will be available to view in the original Japanese dub, as well as English dubbed.

The Knights of Sidonia anime is based upon the space opera and mecha manga of the same name by Tsutomu Nihei. It was first serialized in April of 2009 in Kodansha's Monthly Afternoon magazine. It was adapted by Polygon Pictures and originally aired between April and June of 2014. The second season of the anime aired the following year.
