Shingo Natsume (ACCA: 13,Space Dandy) is crediting with creating the series and will serve as the director and writer. Hisashi Euguchi (Perfect Blue) provided conceptual artwork with Norifumi Kugai (ACCA: 13) crafting the more polished character designs. Shinichiro Watanabe of Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo and Kids on the Slope fame is overseeing the music for the show.
Sonny Boy is definitly one of the new Summer anime we'll be keeping an eye on this July. It will have to stand out in a crowded field that includes Part 2 of the second season of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid season 2, My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! season 2, I'm Standing on a Million Lives season 2 and more.
