The Attack on Titan anime series, which first aired in September of 2013, is based upon the Japanese manga of the same name. The manga series was written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama and takes place in a world where humanity lives inside cities that are protected by three enormous walls. The walls protect them from giant man-eating humanoids referred to as "Titans". The story follows Eren Yeager, who has vowed to exterminate the Titans after witnessing the destruction of his hometown and death of his mother.

Attack on Titan's final season originally began airing in December of 2020 in Japan, and concluded its broadcast on March 29th of this year (2022). WIT STUDIO animated the first three season of the popular anime, with the fourth and final season of the series being animated at studio MAPPA.
