Animplex of America and Funimation have announced that the popular anime film Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train will land at theaters nationwide in the U.S. and Canada April 23, 2021. The North American theatrical release will include showings on 4DX and IMAX screens. The film will also be available in both English dub as well as subtitled. Tickets are available at Funimation.com/DemonSlayerMovie.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train originally opened in Japan on October 16, 2020 and has secured its position as the highest grossing anime and Japanese film (animated or live action) of all time. It opened on 403 screens, including 38 IMAX theaters, and earned over $100 million at the Japanese box office after only 10 days. The fastest film ever to achieve that particular milestone. The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime series, currently streaming on Funimation in both subtitled and English dubbed, premiered in 2019. It is based on Koyoharu Gotoge's manga of the same name. The series, which takes place in Japan during the early 1900s, follows the adventures of a young man in search of a cure for his sister who has been turned into a demon after their family is slaughtered by demons.

Set after the events of the anime series, Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train  has Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke embarking on a new mission. Together with one of the most powerful swordsmen of the Demon Slayer Corps, Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku, they set out to investigate the mysterious disappearance of over 40 passengers who were aboard the Mugen Train.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train is set to hit digitally beginning June 22, 2021. It will be available through Apple TV, Microsoft Store, Vudu, Google Play, PlayStation Store, and Amazon. Pre-orders will be available beginning April 26, 2021.
