Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle Part One is coming to Netflix this month. The streaming giant announced that the blockbuster anime film will debut on the platform on September 28.
Up until now, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle Part One had only been available to stream in the United States on Crunchyroll. The film was also available on Netflix, but only in select Asian regions.
Soon, the world's largest streaming platform will be home to the highest-grossing anime movie of all time.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle Part One, the first of three movies adapting the manga’s final story arc, debuted in Japan on July 18, 2025. It went on to gross more than $250 million there, becoming the highest-grossing film of all time in the country.
A slow global rollout saw it premiere in the United States on September 12, 2025. In the U.S., the film grossed $136.9 million, including a massive $70.6 million opening weekend.
It eventually went on to gross nearly $794 million worldwide, while breaking numerous records, including becoming the highest-grossing anime film and highest-grossing Japanese film of all time. It also became the highest-grossing anime film ever at the U.S. box office.
The film also enjoyed an unusually long theatrical run in Japan, remaining in theaters for 266 days before ending its wide release on April 9, 2026. While the length of its run was impressive, its biggest records came at the box office, where it shattered several opening-day and opening-weekend benchmarks.
Adapting the final chapters of Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle Part One follows Tanjiro Kamado and the Demon Slayer Corps as they are drawn into the Infinity Castle for a final showdown with Muzan Kibutsuji and his most powerful demons. The film kicks off the trilogy that will bring the long-running story to its conclusion.
The official synopsis reads:
Tanjiro Kamado – a boy who joined an organization dedicated to hunting down demons called the Demon Slayer Corps after his younger sister Nezuko was turned into a demon.
While growing stronger and deepening his friendships and bonds with fellow corps members, Tanjiro has battled many demons with his comrades, Zenitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hashibira. Along the way, his journey has led him to fight alongside the Demon Slayer Corps’ highest-ranking swordsmen, the Hashira, including Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku aboard the Mugen Train, Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui within the Entertainment District, as well as Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito and Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji at the Swordsmith Village.
As the Demon Slayer Corps members and Hashira engaged in a group strength training program, the Hashira Training, in preparation for the forthcoming battle against the demons, Muzan Kibutsuji appears at the Ubuyashiki Mansion. With the head of the Demon Corps in danger, Tanjiro and the Hashira rush to the headquarters but are plunged into a deep descent to a mysterious space by the hands of Muzan Kibutsuji.
The destination of where Tanjiro and Demon Slayer Corps have fallen is the demons’ stronghold – the Infinity Castle. And so, the battleground is set as the final battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and the demons ignites.
Neither Sony nor Crunchyroll have announced release dates for the second and third films in the trilogy. However, there have been reports suggesting that Part Two could arrive in 2027, with Part Three following in 2029. Those dates remain unconfirmed, and Crunchyroll has previously denied reports that an official release schedule had been set.
As it currently stands, Netflix has the main Demon Slayer TV series, but Crunchyroll ahs the TV run plus Infinity Castle Part One.
