Last week, it was confirmed that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle Part One is coming to Netflix later this month. But turns out that's not the only new streaming platform it will be available on.
The blockbuster anime, which was previously only available in the U.S. through Crunchyroll, will also be coming to Hulu and Hulu on Disney+. The film will begin streaming on September 28, the same day as its Netflix debut.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle Part One is the first release in a trilogy of films that adapt the final chapters of Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga. The movie follows Tanjiro Kamado and the Demon Slayer Corps as they are drawn into the Infinity Castle for a final showdown with Muzan Kibutsuji and his most powerful demons, kicking off a trilogy that will bring the long-running story to its conclusion.
After losing his family and watching his younger sister become a demon, Tanjiro Kamado joins the Demon Slayer Corps to avenge them. The leader of the Twelve Kizuki captures Lady Tamayo after Ubuyashiki’s attempt to stop him fails, plunging Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and the Hashira into the demons’ stronghold, the Infinity Castle. Now, they must face off against some of their most powerful foes.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle Part One hit theaters in Japan on July 18, 2025. It was an immediate smash, eventually earning more than $250 million there and becoming the biggest movie in Japanese box office history.
The film then began a gradual international rollout before arriving in the United States on September 12, 2025. It opened with a huge $70.6 million weekend and finished its U.S. run with $136.9 million.
Worldwide, Infinity Castle Part One went on to earn nearly $794 million, setting several major records in the process. It became the biggest anime movie ever released, as well as the top-grossing Japanese film worldwide. It also set a new benchmark for anime at the U.S. box office.
Now that its finally hitting mainstream streaming platforms, its fair to begin wondering when we can expect the second film to release. Neither Sony nor Crunchyroll have announced release dates for the second and third films in the trilogy. However, there have been reports suggesting that Part Two could arrive in 2027, with Part Three following in 2029. Those dates remain unconfirmed, and Crunchyroll has previously denied reports that an official release schedule had been set.
The movie had plenty of staying power, too. In Japan, it remained in theaters for 266 days before its wide release finally wrapped up on April 9, 2026. Still, the real story was its box office dominance, with the film smashing several opening-day and opening-weekend records during its run.
