We were able to do press rounds are Ohayocon 2022 and during our time there we had the incredible opportunity to speak with a number of well-known voice talents who star in numerous popular anime titles.
Some of the people we got a chance to speak with are Cynthia Cranz (YuYu Hakusho, Dragon Ball Super), Kiba Walker (Yaoikuza: Oruji, Gateseekers), and John Swasey (My Hero Academia, Dragon Ball Z), the latter of which we have a video interview for you now.
During our talk we address characters he voices like Dodoria from Dragon Ball Z, Van Hohenheim from Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, All For One from My Hero Academia, Lord Death from Soul Eater, and much, much more.
Take a look at the full exclusive video interview between John Swasey and Literary Joe below and as always be sure to share your thoughts in the usual spot!
While providing press coverage at Ohayocon 2022 I had the incredible opportunity to conduct an exclusive in-person interview with extremely talented and revered voice actor John Swasey. John chats with me about which characters he voices that people in the midwest seem to be the most passionate about, leading to chats about his characters of All For One from My Hero Academia, Sir Crocodile from One Piece, and Hohenheim from Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood.
Swasey is known for lending his voice talents to countless projects dating back to the 80's with some of his most well-known credits including Vampire Hunter D, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Slayers, Fire Emblem, Detective Conan, Gatchaman, Borderlands, Tales of Zestiria, Xenosaga, Devil May Cry, Gunslinger Girl, Soul Eater, Tenchi Muyo, Trigun, Halo, Black Butler, Dragon Ball Z, and many more.
John is a great guy and had some wonderful information to share with us about his career in voice acting as well as his directorial work and his newest project - a children's book! It was a thrill and you guys will certainly have a wonderful time with this chat. Enjoy!
