MY HERO ACADAMIA: WORLD HEROES' MISSION Continues To Break Japanese Box Office Records

It's official! My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission has become the top box office grossing film in the My Hero Academia franchise!

In my post earlier in the month I shared that My Hero Academia: World Heroe's Mission had went Plus Ultra! at the box office and was smashing it at the box office, and that it was on track to set new records for the franchise's box office totals.

It's now being reported that not only has My Hero Academia: World Hereos' Mission, the third My Hero Academia feature film in the, become the franchse's highest-grossing film to in Japan to date, it did did so in two short weeks!

In it's first four days of release in Japan, My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission earned appoximately 940 million yen ($8.5 million US), with 720,000 over the long weekend. With its second weekend now under its belt, the film has earned a total of 2.06 billion yen ($18.7 million US), with over 1.5 million admissions to theaters. My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission has now surpased both of the previous two My Hero Academia films lifetime gross at the Japanese Box office.

In comparision, the first two films, My Hero Academia: Two Heroes and My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising, earned 1.72 billion yen ($15.6 million US) and 1.79 billion yen ($16.2 million US) respectively.
