When it comes to the mecha subgenre of anime there are numerous titles that come to mind. Mobile Suit Gundam, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Gurren Lagann, and Code Geass might be the most recognizable of the group, but there are countless other adaptations of similarly-based stories in anime.
Many Gundam talents are still in the game, with a newly streaming mecha-based anime title showcasing their talents in the form of AMAIM at the Borderline, the first original project to come from Sunrise Beyond. The series is directed by Nobuyoshi Habara and boasts beautiful visuals and storytelling worthy of joining the titles in the mecha-based anime subgenre.
Currently streaming on Funimation, the sci-fi fantasy series is viewed through the lens of a young boy named Shiiba Amou. With a love of machines, the story sees him teaming up with an A.I. to save Japan from four oppressive factions.
