Funimation has begun rolling out a couple of new features on its streaming service. Skip Credits is the first feature that Funimation has rolled out and is now available on the PS4, PS5, and Xbox One. In addition to the gaming systems, the new feature is also available on Samsung and Vizio smart televisions, and this is just the beginning.
One of the most attractive aspects of this new feature is that it allows the viewer to skip credits and get to their new episode faster but unlike the majority of streaming services, it won't skip any title cards or end credit sequences that may follow them. In addition, the "Skippable Video Segment" feature is also set to expand and allow anime lovers to skip the beginning or other sequences, not just the credits.
Since this feature is still being tested and debugged, it is only available on the most popular titles at the moment and only several episodes of each, though the streamer has assured that it will expand to include the entire Fall 2021 line-up as well as more in the future. Funimation released the following list as a guide for those looking to test the feature out.
- Attack On Titan (Episodes 60 – 75)
- Black Clover (Episodes 158 – 167)
- Dragon Ball (Episodes 1 – 15)
- Dragon Ball Z (Episodes 282 – 291)
- High School DXD (Season 4 Episodes 1 – 12)
- My Hero Academia (Episodes 89 – 107)
- One Piece (Episodes 977 – 990)
- That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime (Episodes 36 – 40)
