Netflix has unleashed a stunning, new visceral trailer for Castlevania Nocturne after previously dropping a gorgeous poster for the upcoming spinoff. Check it out below and let us know if you'll be tuning in when the series drops on September 28.
In Nocturne, Richter must join forces with an unlikely group of hunters and magicians to prevent a vampire apocalypse from occurring in 18th-century France.
It is anticipated that the spin-off, which will include Richter and Maria Renard, will draw inspiration from the Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night video games from 1993 and 1997, respectively.
The voice cast for the series includes Edward Bluemel (A Discovery of Witches, Sex Education) as Richter Belmont, Thuso Mbedu (The Woman King) as Annette, Pixie Davies (Mary Poppins Returns) as Maria Renard, Nastassja Kinski (An American Rhapsody) as Tera, Sydney James Harcourt (Hamilton) as Edouard, Franka Potente (American Horror Story) as the vampire queen Erzsebet Báthory, and Zahn McClarnon (Dark Winds, Hawkeye) as Olrox.
Kevin Kolde of Frederator Studios and British screenwriter Clive Bradley lead the creative side of the spin-off.
A teaser trailer for Nocturne was released back in July and new footage was also shown in Netflix's promotional trailer for all of the streamer's September releases.
Additionally, Netflix has revealed that the first episode will premiere a day early on September 27, 9 AM PT/12 PM EST via livestream on Twitch and YouTube.
Specifically, the first episode of Nocturne will be broadcast as a part of Netflix's Drop 01 fan event, a digital showcase that will reveal some of the streamer's returning and future animated movies.
Netflix also teased surprise announcements and never-before-seen sneak peek "drops" from animated programs that fans around the globe are eagerly anticipating.
