Horimiya is set to premiere on Funimation January 9th and we have a sneak peek at the upcoming anime thanks to the teaser trailer that hit. Check it out below!

Horimiya is the anime adaption of the manga series of the same name by HERO and Daisuke Hagiwara and the original Hori-san to Miyamura-kun webcomic by HERO. The Japanese shōnen web manga series was originally released on February 2007 on HERO’s website Dokkai Ahen.

The romantic comedy follows Kyoko Hori and Izumi Miyamura, two high schoolers, and their evolving friendship.

Funamation shared the following regarding the upcoming anime release: "One of the most celebrated manga series, Horimiya has made waves for its hilarity, smart depiction of romance and incredibly memorable characters. Fans have been waiting forever for an anime adaptation, and we are THRILLED to be able to bring it to you!"

The voice cast for Horimiya stars Kouki Uchiyama (My Hero Academia, Haikyu!!) as Izumi Miyamura and Haruka Tomatsu (Magi, The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.) as Kyoko Hori. It will be directed by Masashi Ishihama, with scripts from Takao Yoshioka and music from Masaru Yokoyama.

When Kyoko Hori and Izumi Miyamura run into each other outside of school looking different than they usually do, the two realize that not everything is as it seems
