Fruits Basket Prelude, the upcoming film that will serve as a prequel to the popular Fruit Basket's anime, is set to hit Japanese theaters next month. In the meantime we have a brand new trailer to share that should get fans of the series excited!
Not only does the trailer take us through some of the most touching moments of the anime series, fans will also get a first listen to the film's theme song "Niji to Kite" ("Rainbow and Kite") by Ohashi Trio.
Fruits Basket Prelude adapts the manga's "The Story of Kyoko and Katsuya" chapter that digs into the history between Tohru's parents. It will also include a brand-new anime story that takes place after the series about Tohru and Kyo.
Fruits Basket Prelude is set to be released in Japanese theaters next month, February 18th.
