Love Live! Superstar!! (ラブライブ！スーパースター!!, Rabu Raibu! Sūpāsutā!!) is the fourth production for the Love Live! franchise after Love Live! School Idol Project, Love Live! Sunshine!!, and Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club. It is co-developed by Kadokawa Corporation, Lantis (music), and animation studio Sunrise. The first season began airing in July 2021.
The season 1 plot begins in the Yuigaoka Private Girls High School in Tokyo. The school was set to be demolished, but plans were changed and they started accepting new students. With no accomplishments or history in the school, five girls band together and discover the existence of "school idols". They form an idol group which they named Liella!. The lyricist and composer of their group, Kanon Shibuya is the leader. Keke serves as the club's official wardrobe producer. Chisato keeps up on all the gossip and rumors that spread around the school and is a great support for Kanon. Sumire has several hidden talents and a vast knowledge in the entertainment world. Ren was the last to join and had originally tried to shut down any school idol opportunities that would come by. This is surely a cute idol anime that you won't want to miss.
