Hello, I Am a Witch and My Crush Wants Me to Make a Love Potion! now has an opening night, two songs, and two more names. Kadokawa posted a new promotional video and visual on Monday with an October 5 start on Japanese television and streaming.
Centimillimental performs the opening, "Kanawanai" (I Can't Compare). Rainy performs the ending, "Mada Uso ni wa Naranai" (It's Still Not a Lie). Both tracks play in the new PV. The added cast is Hiro Shimono as Tien and Akira Sekine as Villaura. Mikako Komatsu remains Rose, the lake witch. Yohei Azakami remains Harij, the royal knight who walks into her life and asks for a love potion.
Broadcast is October 5 on AT-X, Tokyo MX, BS NTV, and RKB Mainichi Broadcasting, then October 6 on MBS. d Anime Store and Anime Hodai start the same day as the first TV airing. Keizo Kusakawa directs at diomedéa. He previously handled Parallel World Pharmacy. Wataru Watari oversees the scripts. Masakazu Ishikawa designed the characters. Yayoi Tateishi is sound director. Hayato Matsumura wrote the score with Heart Company producing. The source material is short and finished. Eiko Mutsuhana posted the story on Shosetsuka ni Naro from April 2019 to March 2020. Futabasha printed two volumes with art by Vient under M Novels f. Official materials put the series over 1 million copies across formats. Kamada draws the manga on Kadokawa's ComicWalker / Flos Comic line, six volumes as of February. Yen Press publishes that manga in English as Hi, I'm a Witch, and My Crush Wants Me to Make a Love Potion. Cross Infinite World has the novels digitally.
The plot for the anime is a heartbreak joke that turns into a visiting schedule. Rose has spent four years quietly stuck on Harij. He shows up and asks her to brew a love potion. She knows the request is not for her. She still sends him hunting ingredients so he keeps coming back. He starts showing up every day. He feeds the shut-in witch. The potion is the excuse. The hermitage visits are the story.
Cross Infinite World's synopsis calls it a heartwarming pairing of a withdrawn witch and a stiff, proud knight. The teaser copy is sharper: a clumsy, bittersweet romance that starts from the worst possible sentence.
Fall 2026 already has a stack of fantasy romances. This one is small on purpose. Two light novel volumes. A lake. A knight with a shopping list. Kusakawa's recent work sits in the "magic as a job" lane. Watari's name is the Oregairu author taking series composition. That pairing suggests the show will live in conversation and delayed feelings more than dungeon crawls.
