MY HERO ACADEMIA Mobile Game Now Being Published By Crunchyroll

Crunchyroll Games has announced that they will now be publishing the My Hero Academia: The Strongest Hero mobile RPG video game and are celebrating with in-game events!

Now that Crunchyroll and Funimation have joined forces, Crunchy Roll Games is beginning to explore more gaming opportunites to leverage and maximize popular anime properties and My Hero Academia appears to be at the top of their list based on yesterday's annoucement.

It was announced yesterday that My Hero Academia: The Strongest Hero, the popular mobile RPG based in the My Hero Academia universe, is now being published by Crunchyroll Games, the interactive division of the company. They're even celebrating the announcement with in-game celebrations.

Crunchyroll has launched a full-service AAA game publishing studio, including an editorial and production division under Terry Li, General Manager of Games at Crunchyroll. They've recruited veterans from Sony Pictures Entertainment, Riot Games, Activision, Disney Entertainment and more.

My Hero Academia: The Strongest Hero includes Midoriya and his friends from Class 1-A and was the biggest anime mobile game of 2021 with more than 12 million downloads in less than a year of launching. The game immerses players into the MHA world alongside pro heroes like All Might and Endeavor as players select their team of heroes to explore the city and take down the villains in a quest to become the strongest hero.

The in-game celebrations include:

  • The launch of the Character Summon Card for Best Jeanist, the Fiber Master pro hero.
  • A special “Strongest Hero x Crunchyroll Celebration” login event, running for seven days starting April 6. Users who play the game every day during this window will receive seven Card Summon Tickets.
  • One Character Select Ticket reward delivered to the in-game mailbox of all players who play the game between April 6 and April 20.
  • Crunchyroll Games is also sharing one general code that can be redeemed for three Card Summon Tickets. The code TSH2CR2022 is available to be redeemed now until April 20.

Players will be able to participate in the events ahead of the on-year anniversary celebration this spring, which is said to include new events, login bonuses, giveaways, and character releases.

My Hero Academia: The Strongest Hero is currently available in North America, Latin America, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and more. The game can be downloaded by visiting https://got.cr/mhatsh_crpr.

My Hero Academia is the smash-hit anime series based on the manga by Kohei Horikoshi, telling the story of young Izuku Midoriya, who lives in a universe where superpowers - or “Quirks” - have become commonplace. Midoriya dreams of being a hero, although he was born without Quirks. Through the help of friends, family, and heroes, Midoriya is admitted into the prestigious high school for heroes in training where his journey begins. My Hero Academia is animated by bones inc. and the full catalog is available now on Crunchyroll.
