Dean Israelite directed the feature from a script that had several groups of writers contribute to the film, including Ashley Miller & Zack Stentz, John Gatins, Matt Sazama & Burk Sharpless and Max Landis. Bryan Cranston and Elizabeth Banks leads a cast of newcomers that includes Naomi Scott, Becky G., Ludi Lin, RJ Cyler and Dacre Montgomery.
The film is expected to have a presence at this year's annual San Diego Comic-Con fan expo, which kicks off this Wedneday with a Preview Night.
