Toonami and Funimation made a major announcement yesterday, revealing that on January 7, English dub episodes of Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapter and Dragon Ball Super will air on the Saturday night anime programming block. Super will air at 8PM and then repeat at 11:30PM. Kai will air at Midnight. It's a little weird that they wouldn't let Kai run its course before premiering Super as the latter obviously occurs after the Buu Saga but with subbed episodes already running on Crunchyroll, it's likely that Toonami felt they couldn't wait. Also, the licensing revenue from Cartoon Network will go a long way towards more episodes of Super (and better animation quality).
