Ichiro Mizuki Updates The MAZINGER Z Theme Song In New Trailer
The website for Toei's new Mazinger Z film has revealed the movie's official title and a new trailer that teases an update of the classic theme song.
J-pop singer Ichiro Mizuki will provide an update of the classic Mazinger Z theme song in Toei Animation's upcoming Mazinger Z anime film, which will be titled Mazinger Z: Infinity. The film opens in Japan on January 13, 2018. The new footage is pretty intense and reveals that the Mazinger Z is still the most badass super robot in the land.
In the new film, Koji Kabuto is now retired and it's his younger brother, Shiro Kabuto piloting the giant mecha built by their grandfather, Professor Juzo Kabuto. The new film will be released to celebrate the 45th Anniversary of the original 1972 Mazinger Z manga from Go Nagai and the original 92-episode anime series from Toei.
