Back in July Tokyo Mew New got new artwork and a teaser trailer. Today the voice cast has been revealed, as well as some new artwork, thanks to tweets from the official Twitter account!
The first tweet gives us our first look at the characters for the upcoming magical anime series in their waitress uniforms.
The second tweet featuers the voice actors of the series - Retasu Midorikawa, Minto Aizawa, Ichigo Momomiya, Purin Fong and Zakuro Fujiwara - dressed up as the characters they'll be portraying in simliar uniforms!
Tokyo Mew Mew was originally serialized in Kodansha's shōjo manga magazine Nakayoshi in September of 2000. The series follows five typical middle school girls who are infused with the DNA of endangered animals, giving them special powers and allowing them to transform into "Mew Mews". The friends protecte Earth from aliens.
The original Tokyo Mew Mew anime series by Studio Pierrot consisted of 52 episodes and debuted in Japan in February of 2002. There have also been two video games based on the series.
