Season 4 of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is set to premiere next week and it's been confirmed that the first episode will be an hour-long special.

Ahead of its release, we've got a brand-new trailer teasing the Pillar Training Arc.

Season 4 of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba adapts the 15th volume to the 16th volume of the manga, focusing primarily on the "Hashira Training Arc." The synopsis, courtesy of Crunchyroll, reads:

To the Hashira Training…

The members of the Demon Slayer Corps and their highest-ranking swordsmen, the Hashira.

In preparation for the forthcoming final battle against Muzan Kibutsuji, the Hashira Training commences. While each carry faith and determination within their hearts, Tanjiro and the Hashira enter a new story.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is directed by  Haruo Sotozaki with Akira Matsushima serving as Chief Animation Director and Character Designer. Check out the first trailer for Season 4 below. It features the opening theme song, "Mugen," performed by the dynamic collaboration of My First Story x Hyde.

The first episode of the fourth season was actually part of the recent theatrical release of Demon Slayer: To The Hashira Training. A direct sequel to the third season of the anime series, the latest film was based on the "Swordsmith Village" and "Hashira Training" arcs of the manga. Similar to the Swordsmith Village film adaptation, released in February 2023, it acted as a compilation film of the anime series, incorporating the last episode of the third season and the first episode of the fourth season.

Season 4 of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba will debut on May 12th on Fuji TV, but for those in North America, it will stream on Crunchyroll. Dubs for English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu are eventually coming, although no date has been announced.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is produced by Uoftable and is based on the manga series of the same name by Koyoharu Gotouge.  The series follows teenager Tanjiro Kamado, who strives to become a Demon Slayer after his family is slaughtered and his younger sister is turned into a demon.

The critically acclaimed series, which first debuted in April 2019, has received praise for its storyline, animation, action sequences, character design and voice acting. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has won numerous awards during its airtime and is considered by many to be one of the best animes of the last decade. Now entering its fourth season, the anime is rapidly approaching the manga's grand finale, leaving many to wonder if next season will be its last.
