Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Sweep the Board!, the upcoming video game from SEGA based on the Demon Slayer manga and anime, won't land at retailers until this spring, but SEGA of America has announced that fans can pre-order the physical edition of the game. They've also released a pre-order trailer to celebrate the recent announcement. The new trailer gives fans a sneak peek at the gameplay and characters, so make sure and check it out below!
According to the press release from SEGA, digital pre-orders will open up at a later date. They also revealed that the game will launch for the Nintendo Switch across the Americas and Europe on April 26th, 2024.
The two new boards include "Board Two" featuring Tsuzumi Mansion and Mount Natagumo, and "Board Three" featuring the Mugen Train. Players will find demons lurking in each of the stages with minigames inspired by Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.
In addition to the two new boards, some of the features that will be included in some of the mini games.
- Sneaky Sword Styling - Hide from Kanamori while you customize Inosuke's jagged sword.
- Tanjiro's Total Concentration Training - Help Tanjiro while he works on his Total Concentration training.
- Team Memory Matching - Work together in a 2v2 team battle as you match cards with the same image.
- Knock 'Em Out! Chanbara Swordplay - Try and push your opponent out of the zone while you trade blows with one another.
Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Sweep the Board! takes the iconic landmarks from the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime and converts them to boards that include daytime and nighttime periods. Players roll dice to advance through each square on the board. During the day gamers will participate in events and mini-games to prepare for nighttime, which is when they will begin searching for demons to defeat, with the ultimate goal of becoming a great Demon Slayer!
The game will see players take control of iconic characters from the anime, including Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and the nine Hashiara. It will even include Nezuko, who cannot be activated during the day.
