Popular supernatural anime Jujutsu Kaisen's prequel anime film Jujutsu Kaisen 0, has become the highest-growing film of 2021 at the Japanese box office!
It took the film forty-five days and 7,603,732 attendees for ti to earn over 10.46 billion yen ($90.7 million US), suprassing Evangelion 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon a Time's 10.23 billion.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 landed in theaters on Christmas Eve, December 24th, 2021.
The film is coming to 1,500 North American theaters (United States and Canada) on March 18th and will include screenings in IMAX theaters in the US. Tickets are set to go on sale later this month, February 25th.
The Jujutsu Kaisen anime is based upon the best-selling manga of the same name. It was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump and has sold more than 60 million copies in Japan. VIZ Media publishes the series in the United States. Jujutsu Kaisen was named "Anime of the Year" by the Crunchyroll Anime Awards in 2021.

The film is based on JUJUTSU KAISEN 0 (JUMP COMICS / Shueisha), a prequel manga to the smash hit supernatural adventure series from Gege Akutami.
