For those who might be unaware of what's going on in the world of anime and manga, the publisher known as Shonen Jump is the most popular yet. Many have tried to unseat this giant, but all have failed, and we expect a lot to continue pushing in the years to come.
Now, it should be evident that the majority of those who purchase content from Shonen Jump are from within Japan, which makes a lot of sense since that country has more anime and manga fans than anywhere else.
The big question, though, is how do other countries compare? It should be clear by now that anime and manga are quite popular outside of Japan. It has reached a point where some folks from other countries have adopted Japanese culture and even wished they were from there.
Dragon Ball, Demon Slayer, One Piece, Naruto, and Bleach are just some of the small number of popular content published by Shonen Jump. At the moment, Dragon Ball, One Piece, and Demon Slayer are the most popular series published by the company.
Recently, an editor known as Yuta Momiyama released a list on Twitter that highlights the top countries for Shonen Jump content outside of Japan. The list is as follows:
- USA
- Thailand
- Indonesia
- Mexico
- Philippines
- Spain
- Malaysia
- Brazil
- Peru
- Germany
- Italy
- Argentina
- Chile
- Colombia
- France
- India
- Canada
- UK
- Vietnam
- Singapore
The USA being number one on the list is no surprise, and the same goes for the number of Asian countries on the list.
