The second half of the third season of the epic historical action Kingdom anime is officially underway and a new trailer and visual, both of which are included below, have been released to celebrate!
The new artwork includes the text "Don't let hope die" and places the spotlight and a battle-ready Zheng! The Japanes trailer doesn't include English subtitles, but has plenty to get fans excited.
A nameless boy and a young king have grown up in a nation plagued by war. The boy, Xin, has countlessly proven himself on the battlefield, and although initially starting on bad terms, he and the young king, Zheng, have become comrades.
Zheng wishes to bring all the warring states under Qin, while Xin climbs the ranks to become a Great General. Both of their ambitions will change history forever.
The Kingdom anime is an adaptation of the manga of the same name. The first season originally premiered with 38 episodes in 2012. Kingdom returned in 2013 with 39 more episodes for its second season. The first two seasons were animated by Studio Pierrot and adapted roughly 260 chapters of the manga. The third season's animation was taken over by Studio Pierrot subsidiary Studio Signpost.
Season 1 and Season 2 of Kingdom are available via Funimation's streaming app and new episodes of the series are available every Sunday.
