Director and star Michael B. Jordan has been touring for Creed III, which will be released in theaters on March 3. One of his most recent destinations was IGN Fan Fest, where he took some time to discuss the several anime influences that helped shape the third Rocky spinoff installment.
In an interview with IGN, Jordan discussed how he went about giving the fights in Creed III his own twist by using several significant anime names, such as Hajime no Ippo, MEGALOBOX, Naruto, and My Hero Academia. To further explain, he even mentioned a specific punch from Dragon Ball Z that was incorporated into the film.
Anyone who has followed Michael B. Jordan for any length of time is aware that his passion for anime has been widely documented. It's exciting to watch him put it to use in his newest movie, and we can't wait to see the finished product for ourselves.
